Summary
VitalSync had excellent backend technology for tracking heart data, but their interface was too clinical and confusing for their primary demographic (patients aged 65+). They hired us to redesign the patient-facing mobile app and the clinician-facing web portal. Our challenge was to maintain rigorous medical accuracy while creating a UI that was empathetic, highly legible, and reduced anxiety for recovering patients.
Outcome
- 30% Reduction in Readmissions: Better adherence to monitoring protocols led to earlier detection of complications.
- 98% Adherence Rate: Patients completed their daily check-ins 98% of the time, up from 60% in the previous version.
